Whether you attend a college or university, or are seeking a more specialized professional degree, employers continue to seek employees with general or transferable skills - those skills and attitudes that matter for adapting to work life, but also being effective in a wide range of organizational contexts.
The challenge is that although employers know how to label these skills and attitudes (e.g., leadership, grit and work ethic, communication), students don't know how they actually rank on these skills, and students along with parents and colleges, have little sense of how to translate college coursework and experiences to cultivate these skills.
cred-ABLE uses integrated assessment technologies to ground students in those skills employers seek. This allows students to assess themselves and receive feedback. But more importantly, cred-ABLE enables students to work collaboratively with their college or school to discover the hidden curriculum in their coursework and extracurricular experiences, and to create a personal story and narrative that is unique to the individual but at the same time meaningful and informative for employers. cred-ABLE helps amplify students' other credentials once they finish school.
